Warm and micro
Hello Friends,
Headed to a high of 30 today along the beaches. Wind’s northerly 8-13 kts as of 1100, but the Bureau says it could be 15-25 kts this evening, when there’s also a 70% chance of showers. Surfwise it’s another small to tiny one. The Botany Bay buoy was seeing 0.9 metres of 10-sec south swell. That was translating into knee to maybe waist high waves at the better exposures.
A sunny day here in Santa Barbara but with tiny waves. The image above is looking south toward Campus Point with Isla Vista beach in the foreground. The local wind swell was struggling to make the waist-high mark.
Conditions were even smaller at Arroyo Burro Beach in Santa Barbara (below), which is about 10 km south of the top picture. Nice beach day though.
Go well!

Weather Situation
Northerly winds are expected over parts of the southern coast as a cold front moves away to the east today. A stronger cold front is expected to bring a gusty south to southwesterly to the southern waters later tonight, which will weaken as it moves north along the coast on Monday. After this a ridge of high pressure is forecast to develop, with the next trough forecast to brush the southern waters on Tuesday.
