Diane Keaton's Last Public Outing Was Months Before Her Death at 79

Iconic actress Diane Keaton died on October 11 in California, her family confirmed to People. But prior to her death, Keaton had not be seen publicly for nearly a year.

Keaton -- who died at age 79 -- was last seen in late 2024 during a holiday shopping trip, according to E! News. Prior to that The Godfather actress was photographed shopping in August 2024.

The Los Angeles native was spotted wearing a chic bowl hat and a trendy all-black outfit. She smiled and waved at the camera in photos taken in L.A.

While little is known of her cause of death, Keaton's family said, "There are no further details available at this time, and her family has asked for privacy in this moment of great sadness."

Keaton had a storied career beginning in the 1970s. She starred as Kay Adams in Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather trilogy before landing the titular role in 1977's Annie Hall, for which she won an Academy Award. She would go on to star in such films as Father of the Bride, Family Stone, and Something's Gotta Give.
