Family Matters star Darius McCrary has been arrested for a third time in relation to unpaid child support.

As first reported by TMZ, McCrary was arrested on Oct. 5 near the U.S.-Mexico border. He was arrested due to an out-of-state felony charge due to failure to appear in court stemming from unpaid child support to his ex-wife, Tammy Brawner.

The outlet notes that McCrary has been sitting behind bars at a jail in San Diego, where he's being held without bail. TMZ reports McCrary, 49, was arrested by U.S. Border Patrol.

Not his first arrest

While McCrary was arrested in Southern California, he's actually wanted in Michigan. He was a wanted fugitive over his failure to appear in court.

This is not the first time McCrary's been arrested stemming from failure to pay child support. TMZ reports he was arrested in 2015 and 2023.

McCrary and Brawner share a 3-year-old daughter, Zoey, but the former couple went through a nasty divorce, which dragged on for two years before it was finalized in 2019.

According to People, McCrary was ordered to pay $1,366 per month in child support.

He played Eddie Winslow

McCrary played the goofy but lovable Eddie Winslow in the hit 1990s ABC family show that famously anchored the network's TGIF lineup.

Family Matters, which aired from 1989 to 1998, starred McCrary, Reginald VelJohnson (Carl Winslow), Jo Marie Payton (Harriette), Kellie Williams (Laura), and, of course, Jaleel White (Steve Urkel).
