Padma Lakshmi's Neon Pink Bikini Look Is the Late-Summer Energy We Need

It’s the end of summer, but Padma Lakshmi isn’t giving up on the warm, sunny season just yet. The former Top Chef host dropped a series of sizzling bikini snapshots for her Instagram followers to enjoy. 

The 54-year-old TV personality’s hot pink swimsuit flaunted her gorgeous curves as the golden glow of the late-day sun shined down on her. The soft beach-y waves in her hair and her dewy makeup proved that her Hamptons, New York vacation looked great on her. Lakshmi has been open and vulnerable about her “changing body” during the launch of her Bare Necessities lingerie collection in June 2024. 

“Other than when I was pregnant and breastfeeding, I stayed the same size from my freshman year in college to about four years ago,” she told Page Six. “A few years ago, I started going into perimenopause, and my hormones changed, and my boobs got bigger. I wasn’t fitting into the bras that I had — and I had collected really beautiful bras!”

She decided to create “beautiful and comfortable” undergarments instead of the “matronly and orthopedic” items often offered to women in their later seasons of life. “I didn’t feel that those were made for my tastes,” she added while noting that she’s “more confident now” in her body, which makes all the difference. 

Last November, Lakshmi posed for the 2025 Pirelli Calendar in a sheer white T-shirt. She explained to People why she felt like now was the right time for her to pose in such a risqué fashion. 

“I will tell you; I didn’t feel that vulnerable, personally,” Lakshmi said. “I may have 30 years ago, but I am fully in command of my body and how I look.”

“I really just was so happy to be a part of it, and I felt beautiful,” she continued. “I felt cared for. I felt safe. I felt elegant. The pose in the water is really … it’s one of serenity. I think that’s how I feel at this point in my life, and that’s a great feeling, which I didn’t always have.”

Lakshmi is letting her confidence radiate in this spectacular season of life.
