Justina Machado Joins 'Matlock' Season 2, Will Reunite With 'Jane the Virgin' Creator
Justina Machado is headed back to TV with a new role on Matlock!
The 52-year-old actress has been tapped for a major recurring role in the CBS drama’s upcoming second season, according to Deadline.
This will reunite her with Jane the Virgin creator Jennie Snyder Urman, who also heads Matlock, as well as Jane‘s Yael Grobglas, who recurs on the legal series.

In Matlock, Justina will play Eva, who is “a formidable, smart, and ambitious attorney and Jacobson Moore managing partner Howard ‘Senior’ Markston (Beau Bridges) 4th ex-wife. The one who made him swear off marriage. Eva runs Jacobson Moore’s Miami office and she arrives in New York for an emergency meeting… which she uses to her advantage.”

Earlier this year, Justina was starring on Broadway in the musical Real Women Have Curves, which earned her a Tony nomination for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical. She also performed alongside her co-stars during the 2025 Tony Awards!
