On a per-share basis, the Singapore-based company said it had a loss of 31 cents.

The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 29 cents per share.

The biopharmaceutical company posted revenue of $8.7 million in the period, which also did not meet Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $12.6 million.
