DMK's TKS Elangovan criticized the central government regarding GST. He accused the BJP of taking state funds. Elangovan stated that GST implementation deprived states of a major revenue source. Rahul Gandhi also attacked the Modi government's GST. He called it economically unjust. Gandhi claimed it hurt the poor and small businesses. GST was implemented in 2017.
