City of Mutare launches comprehensive property survey
From The Town Clerk’s Desk
HELLO there, I hope I find you well!
This week our focus is on the comprehensive property survey being conducted by City of Mutare in partnership with the Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency (ZimStat).
The City is embarking on an exciting journey to improve service delivery and urban planning.
We have launched a comprehensive property survey.
This initiative is aimed at collecting accurate data on property distribution and service delivery areas, ultimately guiding the development of the Mutare City Transformation Plan (MCTP).
Aims and Objectives of the Survey
The survey, which started in June 2025 and is expected to be completed by July 31, 2025, will cover all residential, commercial, industrial, and the undeveloped properties within the City of Mutare boundaries.
The data collected will inform decisions on infrastructure development, service delivery, and urban planning, ensuring that our city is equipped to meet the needs of its growing population.
The survey is crucial in informing decisions on:
Infrastructure development: The survey will help identify areas that require infrastructure development, such as roads, water and sanitation, and public transportation.
Service delivery: The survey will help identify areas that require improved service delivery, such as waste management, public safety, and healthcare.
Urban planning: The survey will help inform urban planning decisions, ensuring that our city is developed in a sustainable and equitable manner.
Key Features of the Survey
The survey will cover all properties within the City of Mutare boundaries, including residential, commercial, industrial, and undeveloped properties.
Field officers will be equipped with the latest survey equipment to ensure accurate data collection.
Field officers will be easily identifiable by:
– Official identification cards bearing the logos of ZIMSTAT
– Reflective vests with ZimStat and City of Mutare logos.
The data collected during this survey will have a significant impact on the future of our city.
It will inform decisions on infrastructure development, service delivery, and urban planning, ultimately leading to a more sustainable future for our city.
I urge all residents, stakeholders, and property owners to cooperate fully with the field officers during this period.
For more information about the survey, please contact the City of Mutare’s Corporate Communications Section on 02020- 60551 or on WhatsApp platform +263 775 792 461.
Join us every Wednesday on our weekly current affairs radio programme “Our City Wednesdays” on Diamond FM Radio from 1915hrs to 2000hrs.
Together, we will make our City great.
