Country Music Superstar, Ex-NFL Quarterback Break Silence on Rumor

0

Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Devlin "Duck" Hodges and country music star Lainey Wilson recently took to social media to address marriage rumors floating around.

The couple got engaged back in February, but some believed they tied the knot already after some photos made the rounds on social media. As it turns out, those photos were AI-generated.

Hodges and Wilson addressed the situation with a video on TikTok and made it clear that while they would like to get married eventually, they haven't officially done it yet.

"What are you gonna tell AI?" Wilson asks Hodges in the video.

"If you're gonna put out stuff about us, at least make us look good. I mean, we look like [expletive]," Hodges replied with a smile.

The post also included a caption that read: "Attention to those making AI photos of me and Lainey… Sincerely, The couple who hasn’t had a wedding yet."

If you followed what Wilson told Country Living back in May, you'd know she made it quite clear that the couple may not get married for multiple years despite their recent engagement.

"[Duck] is gonna kill me, but I told I’m gonna make him wait. He made me wait for 4 years," Wilson stated. "I’m gonna make him wait before we start planning this thing. We hadn’t really covered any ground on it just yet, but we’re taking our time and it’s gonna be right and it’s gonna be beautiful and, you know, what it’s supposed to be about."

Hodges' career saw him appear in eight games (six starts) with the Steelers in 2019 before he ultimately retired in 2022. An award-winning artist, Wilson has rocketed to superstardom in the country music world.

The couple has been dating since 2021 but made their relationship public in 2023.
