Dangerous than Emergency: Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on detention of Bengali workers

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has criticized the detention of Bengali-speaking migrant workers in BJP-ruled states, calling it illegal and worse than the Emergency. She alleged that around 1,000 workers have been arrested and some pushed back to Bangladesh, challenging authorities to detain her as well. Opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari accused Banerjee of shielding illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators.
