Hudson man accused of child sex abuse

HUDSON, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- A Hudson man was arrested Sunday after allegations of sexual abuse. According to New York State Police, 26-year-old Jared Busta is accused of sexually abusing a child.

Troopers said an investigation into Busta began after investigators received a report alleging Busta had sexual contact with a child under the age of 13. He was charged with first-degree sexual abuse.

Busta was arraigned in the Greenport Town Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail, $10,000 secured bond or a $20,000 partially secured bond. According to troopers, Busta is expected back in court Monday at 3 p.m.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
