Charlize Theron Jokingly Shares Harsh Opinion of Bezos Wedding's Celeb Guests: 'They Suck'

Charlize Theron has some harsh words to say about the celebs who attended Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding in Italy this weekend.

The Oscar-winning actresses hosted the fifth annual Block Party for her Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project charity over the same weekend and she joked about not getting an invite to the wedding.

Charlize hosted her star-studded event on Saturday night (June 28) on the Universal Studios backlot in Los Angeles and she gave kudos to the celebs who showed up for her event instead of the wedding.

“I think we might be the only people who did not get an invite to the Bezos wedding. But that’s OK because they suck and we’re cool,” she said during her speech (via THR).

Charlize also got political.

She told the crowd she was grateful they were “taking the time to be a part of this, especially when the world feels like it’s burning because it is. Here in Los Angeles, in the U.S. and across the globe, we’re moving backwards fast. Immigration policy has destroyed the lives of families, not criminals; women’s rights are becoming less and less every day; queer and trans lives are increasingly being erased; and gender-based violence is on the rise. This isn’t just policy, it’s personal.”

“Yeah, f–k them,” she added as the audience applauded.

If you didn’t know, Charlize was actually deported from the United States at the age of 19 when she overstayed her work visa. She eventually became a U.S. citizen in 2007.
