New type of bus stops to be installed in mountainous areas

The government is progressing with it’s plans to install further smart bus stops, Transport Minister Alexis Vafeades said on Saturday.

So far, Vafeades said, stops have been installed in less frequented areas, however, installations in busier areas would follow at a later point.

“We will also see new models of stops very soon,” he said, adding that stops in mountain areas would increase in size, providing more appropriate weather protection.
