Beloved Restaurant with Jay Leno, Steelers Connections Rumored to be Closing

0

A popular bar and restaurant in Pennsylvania that has a connection to both comedian Jay Leno and the Pittsburgh Steelers is reportedly slated to close.

According to Josh Rowntree of 93.7 The Fan, Dino's Sports Lounge in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, might be closing its doors. The bar and restaurant has another location in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.

"Hearing a rumor that popular Steelers training camp hangout Dino's in Greensburg it closing up shop for good," he reported. "The site of Jay Leno's infamous fall down a hill."

While the Greensburg location isn't as popular of a hangout for Steelers fans attending training camp as the Latrobe location is, it still saw some extra action thanks to the yearly event.

The Leno connection stems from a 2024 incident in which he claimed he fell down a hill on his way to get some wings from Dino's Sports Lounge when he was in Greensburg for a stand-up comedy show.

Leno, who suffered a bruised face and left side of his body, a broken wrist and a lost fingernail, was making a 200-yard walk from his hotel to the restaurant when he fell down the hill, according to Inside Edition.

“I fell down. Boom, boom, boom. I rolled down the hill, hit my head on a rock, knocked me in the eye,” Leno explained to TMZ.

This isn't the first time that Dino's Sports Lounge in Greensburg has been in the news. Back in 2021, the restaurant was forced to close temporarily due to a staff shortage.

Dino's is widely considered one of the best wings spots in the state.
