Minnesota state lawmaker, husband and dog lie in state as suspected killer appears in court

Former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband were killed in what authorities described as a "politically motivated assassination" at their home on June 14. She is lying in state alongside  her husband, Mark Hortman, and their golden retriever, Gilbert, who was wounded in the attack before being euthanized.
