Lewis Capaldi Fans Think They've Worked Out He's Planning A Glastonbury Surprise Performance
Fans think that Lewis Capaldi is gearing up for the release of new music – as well as a return to the Glastonbury stage.
The Someone You Loved singer has been taking time out from the spotlight in the last few years, after a difficult performance at Glastonbury in 2023 during which he struggled with parts of his set because of issues with his voice and Tourette’s tics.
At the time, Lewis received a wave of support from both the festival crowd – who helped him through his set by singing along with massive enthusiasm – and those watching at home.
He announced shortly afterwards that he’d be taking a break from touring “for the foreseeable future” to focus on “getting my mental and physical health in order”.

And it now looks like the Grammy nominee is gearing up for his musical comeback.
There have been whisperings about Lewis making a low-key return to Glastonbury ever since this year’s line-up was announced, featuring several mysterious “TBA” slots.
In the last few days, billboards have appeared in both Glasgow, where Lewis was born, and Somerset, near Glastonbury, featuring dramatic lyrics to what some believe could be a new song from the Brit Award winner.
These cryptic ads were accompanied by a phone number fans could text, and when they did, they would be sent a snippet of a song and a message from a sender referring to themselves as just “TBA”.
It has to be said, all of this feels an awful lot like the sort of cheeky fun Lewis would have if he were getting ready for a return to the music world (who could forget the oh-so-extra way he promoted his last comeback single, Forget Me, and he did plot a similar phone-related stunt when trying to get his song Pointless to the top of the charts).
Meanwhile, The Sun reported on Thursday that the Scottish crooner would release a new single on Friday morning, hours before performing at Glastonbury.
HuffPost UK has contacted Lewis Capaldi’s team for comment.
There are currently two “TBA” slots on Friday’s Glastonbury line-up, including at 4.55pm on the Pyramid Stage (before Alanis Morissette, Biffy Clyro and a headlining slot from The 1975) and the opening slot of the Woodsies Stage at 11am.
Meanwhile, fans are also trying to decipher the real identity of the mysterious “Patchwork”, an act currently slated to appear on the Pyramid Stage on Saturday.
While many seemed settled on the theory that it was Haim, another A-list musician has thrown a spanner in the works with a cryptic Instagram post of their own.
