Philadelphia educators vote overwhelmingly to authorize first strike in 25 years

Members of the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers voted 95 percent in favor of a strike in the same week as 9,000 public sanitation workers voted to do the same, raising the potential for a city-wide shutdown of public services.
