Sonic Teams With Grillo’s for the Ultimate Pickle-Lover’s Meal

0

Fast-food fans with a briny streak are in for a tangy treat this summer. Starting June 30, SONIC Drive-In is teaming up with cult-favorite Grillo’s Pickles to launch the Big Dill Meal, a bold and limited-time menu rollout in honor of National Pickle Month.

It appears the meal dropped early on the Sonic app.

At the heart of the lineup are the Big Dill Double and Triple SONIC Smashers—hand-smashed Angus beef burgers layered with melty American cheese, crispy dill pickle-seasoned cucumbers, Grillo’s signature pickle chips, fresh lettuce, and a zesty dilly ranch sauce. Sandwiched on a soft potato bun, the Double starts at $7.49, while the Triple clocks in at $8.49.

But the collaboration doesn’t stop at burgers.

The menu leans full tilt into tang with the Picklerita Slush, a sweet-and-sour frozen drink made from pickle juice and lime, complete with pickle-flavored bubbles and a Grillo’s chip garnish. It's weird, it's wild, and it works. The 20 oz. size starts at just $2.99.

For sides, SONIC is offering pickle-seasoned tots or groovy fries, giving a classic snack an unmistakably zesty twist. The seasoning blend, developed with Grillo’s, brings a hit of vinegary punch to every crispy bite.

And for those who go all in, ordering the full Big Dill Meal unlocks an extra surprise: a pickle-scented car air freshener featuring Grillo’s beloved mascot, Sam-Sam the Pickle Man (while supplies last). It’s a sensory experience you won’t forget, especially if you hang it from your rearview mirror.

Beyond the menu, the collab includes limited-edition pickle-themed merch dropping June 30, with proceeds supporting public education through the Sonic Foundation.

With the Big Dill Meal, Sonic and Grillo’s are banking on a loyal crowd of pickle lovers who want more than a single slice on a sandwich.

And judging by the buzz, they might have just created this summer's most viral fast-food moment.
