Needle attacks at music festival leave 145 hurt and 12 detained

Police detained 12 suspects after reports emerged of 145 people being pricked with syringes during Saturday’s Fête de la Musique events across France.

The incidents occurred in multiple cities, including Paris, Angoulême and Metz, where 13 separate prickings were recorded in the capital alone. The interior ministry confirmed that sufferers ranged from teenagers to adults.
