Oil flip-flops and shares are mixed after the US strikes Iranian nuclear sites

Global markets appear to have taken the U.S. strike against nuclear targets in Iran in stride as investors awaited moves by Iran. The price of oil initially jumped more than 2% but then fell back. U.S. stock futures and European and Asian shares recovered from earlier losses to log modest gains early Monday. The price of Brent crude oil rose as much as 2.6% but was trading 0.3% lower. U.S. crude also slipped after jumping to about $75 a barrel. The futures for the S&P 500 and Dow edged higher.
