Nik Khamenia Named To Team USA’s U-19 Squad
A great development for a rising young talent
As you probably know, incoming freshman Nik Khamenia would normally be on campus by now, starting classes and getting incorporated into Duke’s system.
Well, for young Khamenia, a 5-star recruit out of California, Duke Basketball will have to wait for a bit as he’s been named to the national U-19 team.
Team USA will play in the FIBA U19 Men’s World Cup in Switzerland, starting on June 28th. It’ll be great experience for Khamenia as he prepares for college ball.
The whole team is posted below. You’ll notice that Duke targets Brandon McCoy and Jordan Smith Jr. both made the roster.
By the way, the U.S. hasn’t won this biannual tournament since 2021.
