Nita Ambani is well known for her role as the matriarch of the Ambani family and her work in the business world. But recently, in a touching conversation, Nita Ambani spoke openly about her personal life, her marriage with Mukesh Ambani, her children, and the deep bond she shares with her family.

Talking about her son Anant’s much-talked-about wedding, Nita addressed the criticism that it was too lavish. She said that, like any parent, she only wanted the best for her child. “Every parent wants to give their child the best they can,” she said simply. For her, the wedding was not just about show or money but it was a way to celebrate India’s traditions and culture. It was a chance to honor the rich heritage of the country through music and rituals.

A moment that touched her soul

She shared that one part of the wedding stood out for her more than anything else. It was when her son Anant stood on stage and spoke with confidence. Nita said how Anant had faced health problems for years including his weight struggles and asthma and how he remained positive despite the difficulties. But seeing him stand tall and speak from the heart made her emotional.

“My son Anant has been fighting obesity from a very young age because of his asthma and when he went up on a stage as a confident groom, he told me, ‘Mom, it’s not what I am physically, it’s what my heart is.’ And I saw him holding his life partner’s hand. I think that was the most touching feeling, as a mother.”

For her, it was not just a proud moment as a mother but it was a reminder of the strength her son had shown over the years. Watching him take his vows, she felt full of love and pride, knowing how far he had come.

Nita described Anant as deeply religious and spiritual.

“Anant is my youngest child, and he’s very, very religious and deeply rooted in spirituality. He has fought obesity throughout his life and yet been so positive. And there he meets his life partner, Radhika. You just have to see them together; they are magic,” she said.

Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani tied the knot on July 12 last year in Mumbai, as per Hindu rituals. The grand wedding ceremony was followed by a ‘Shubh Aashirvaad’ ceremony on July 13, which saw the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and distinguished religious leaders.

Marriage that changed her life

Nita described her marriage to Mukesh Ambani as a turning point in her life. She called it “a blessing like no other.” She shared how Mukesh has always stood by her, not just as a husband but as a constant support through every phase of her journey. His belief in her and his quiet strength, she said, made all the difference.

Pride in her children’s unique paths

Talking about her three children: Akash, Isha, and Anant, Nita’s face lit up with pride. She said each of them had chosen their own direction in life and were following their passions with hard work and heart.

Her eldest son Akash is now leading India’s telecom growth through Jio. Isha has taken up major roles in the business world and continues to shine in everything she does. Anant, the youngest, is passionate about protecting the environment and is now focusing on green energy and wildlife conservation.

Nita said that seeing her children grow and follow their dreams fills her with joy. “This is their time now to lead, to grow, and to chase their dreams,” she said with a smile.

A mother first

Even with her many responsibilities, Nita made it clear that being a mother always comes first. She said that no matter how busy life gets, she always makes time for her children. “Whether they need care or just someone at home, I’ll always be there for them,” she said warmly.
