Donald Trump & Wife Melania Booed at 'Les Misérables' Opening Night at Kennedy Center
Donald and Melania Trump did not receive the warmest welcome as they arrived at their first show at the Kennedy Center.
The 78-year-old President and the 55-year-old First Lady made a rare public appearance together at the opening night Les Misérables held at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
The night marked the first event the couple has attended at the Kennedy Center after Trump, just a few days into his second presidential term, named himself as chairman of the Kennedy Center and got rid of most of what he called “woke” leadership, installing a new board of conservative supporters in their place.
As he and Melania arrived at the event, they were met with a mix of applause and boos, as seen in a video shared on YouTube.

Ahead of opening night of Les Mis, CNN reported a few weeks ago that at least 10 of the 12 actors in the musical were not planning on the night that Trump attended. The cast was reportedly given the option to not perform, and many opted out.
While walking the red carpet, Trump was asked about those actors boycotting him.
“I couldn’t care less,” Trump told Fox News. “Honestly, I couldn’t. All I do is run the country well.”
Back in February, this star canceled her sold-out show at the Kennedy Center after Trump took over.
