Re: What’s something you hate - but probably shouldn’t
Sheep2WelshBlueDinosaurPeople that say the year as two thousand and twenty five instead of
twenty twenty five. No-one ever says the Battle of Hastings took place in
one thousand and sixty six. Consistency.
That's because we first lived in the year two thousand. Then two thousand and one. It's stuck a bit. It'll fade.
I'm pretty sure I was born in the one thousand nine hundred and seventies.
my pet hate is people who say twenny twenny five.
I dislike the glo'al stop on a t in the middle of a word.
The guy who recorded the Blues phone message for season ticket renewal says twenny rather than twenty.
I believe that in the near future the letter 't' will disappear completely. It's just laziness as you have to press your tongue onto upper jaw to get the t sound. A bit like those shoes that you never have touch.
