Allen Iverson Has a Message for Angel Reese
Ever since she entered the WNBA last year, Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese has emerged as one of the most high-profile players in the league, especially given her rivalry with Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark. And it sounds like she has caught the attention of NBA legend Allen Iverson.
Iverson currently serves as vice president of Reebok's basketball division, with fellow NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal serving as the president. The brand recently signed Reese to an endorsement deal, hoping she would help it with a rebrand.
In a recent interview with People Magazine, Iverson had a six-word message for Reese explaining how he feels about her as both a player and a person, saying, "I love what she stands for."
"I love everything about her," he says of the Chicago Sky star. "I love what she stands for. She reminds me of my little sister. She's dope to me. She reminds me of myself hoop wise and on a personal level too."
O'Neal also had some words for Reese recently as he shared some advice that he likes to give her.
"[She's] really a nice, beautiful young lady. But when you're in this thing of ours, you have a play a certain way and you have to be a certain way," Shaq said. "A lot of times, they, if they don't understand who you are, they misconceive. But I tell her all the time, 'Don't worry about that.'"
"She's as good or even better than some of the people that y'all are kissing up to. But y'all don't know it. But she knows it," Shaq continued. "And in order to be great, you have to know you're great."
Clearly, both Iverson and O'Neal are big fans of Reese on and off the court.
