Delegates arrive ahead of the official opening of the 57th Plenary Assembly of the SADC Parliamentary Forum

DELEGATES from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region have begun arriving in Victoria Falls ahead of the official opening of the 57th Plenary Assembly of the Southern African Development Community Parliamentary Forum (SADC PF) set for Monday.
The first group of arrivals included delegations from Angola, Namibia, Madagascar, and Seychelles, who touched down at the Victoria Falls International Airport on Sunday.
Among the distinguished guests was the SADC Deputy Executive Secretary, Dr Judith Kateera, who was warmly received by the Deputy President of the Senate, Lt Gen (Rtd) Mike Nyambuya.
The forum, which will be officially opened tomorrow, will run up to June 7.
Being held under the theme: “Harnessing Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Effective and Efficient Parliamentary Processes in the SADC Region: Experiences, Challenges and Opportunities,” the high-level Assembly of Parliamentarians will draw over 300 delegates comprising Speakers and Members of Parliament, senior staff of the 15 Member Parliaments, regional experts and development partners.
