Aubrey O'Day Explains Why She Is Not Testifying in Diddy Trial
Aubrey O’Day is covering the Sean “Diddy” Combs trial, but not testifying.
The 41-year-old Danity Kane member and Making the Band star, who previously spoke out about her experiences with the 55-year-old music mogul, announced a partnership with iHeartRadio to discuss the ongoing trial, and explained why she won’t be on the witness stand.
“Hi my loves, I was approached by @ajrobach & @officialtjholmes and @iheartradio to cover the Diddy trial. The intention for this platform is to give you an up close & personal understanding of what was going on, from a perspective only someone that was there in it all could relay to you,” she began on Sunday (May 18) in a post.

“There have been multiple FAKE headlines put out this past week about me testifying without anyone contacting me or my lawyer to confirm (which is defamation), and it was a reminder to me as to why this platform is so important. We need somewhere to go that cuts through the bs.. and goes straight to, not just my experience, but many people who can give you their truths and their expert opinions on this very historical trial.”
“It’s time for a cultural shift in the music industry and hopefully others- it’s time to reclaim our voices- it’s time for artists to be protected -and mostly, it’s time for JUSTICE. If that is what you are on as well, please listen to the pod and rate it 5 stars if you want more. I will continue to do everything I can to get the truth to the people,” she continued.
“..AND just bc the hate from these unconfirmed DEFAMING headlines is so disrespectful to me, I wanna remind you all that I have been letting you know what it is for 20 years.. when it was not popular or convenient. I took a lot of blows privately. I would never take a check to silence myself from anything that I know, if you know anything about me.. you know I could have several checks at this point. ???? If I was subpoenaed to testify TO THESE CHARGES, I would absolutely show up because it’s the law, first… second, because I want and deserve justice as well. Go to the link in my bio for the pod. I’m gonna start saying everything there from now on. -???????? (Now watch how many outlets post the actual truth that I’ve just stated),” Aubrey went on to say.
