LEWIS Hamilton will drive in a home race for Ferrari for the first time since making the switch from Mercedes.

But his former team McLaren look set to dominate once again, with Oscar Piastri picking up a third consecutive victory, and fourth of the season, last time out in Miami.

The Aussie driver starts on pole this afternoon after snatching it from Max Verstappen in a thrilling qualifying yesterday.

Both Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton were eliminated in Q2 in 11th and 12th, handing Ferrari their worst qualifying performance at Imola.
