Texas prosecutor sues to compel Border Patrol testimony in trial of Uvalde police officer
A Texas prosecutor has filed a federal lawsuit seeking to force three U.S. Border Patrol agents who responded to the Robb Elementary School shooting to testify in the prosecution of a former school police officer. The officer is facing criminal charges over the slow law enforcement response to the massacre in Uvalde. The lawsuit from the county's district attorney says two of the agents were part of the tactical team that eventually broke into a classroom and killed the gunman. The lawsuit claims their testimony is vital for prosecutors and also could be valuable for defense attorneys for former school district Police Chief Pete Arredondo.
