Jordon Hudson's Reason for Reportedly Declining 'DWTS'
Jordon Hudson is eyeing a TV role, but she reportedly decided this one particular offer wasn't the right fit.
The 24-year-old Miss Maine USA contestant was offered a spot on Season 34 of Dancing With the Stars, according to the Daily Mail, via Awful Announcing. The opportunity sounds right up Hudson's alley as she is a former Bridgewater State University cheerleader and a headline generator because of the 48-year age gap romance. The ABC dance show loves a controversial contestant, so this would fit into their casting agenda.
However, the media outlet is reporting that Hudson "likely will decline" to appear on the dance show due to the inconvenient timing. “She likely will decline as it will be in the fall, the same time Bill will be coaching, and she wants to be there for him at UNC," an insider told the U.K. outlet.
Still, Hudson reportedly has her heart set on a career in television even if Dancing With the Stars isn't the right fit.
“Whatever Jordon would like to get into, in front or behind the cameras, she wants to do some shows in the hosting realm,” the source added. “She’d like to do a show like 1st Look if she had the chance.” 1st Look is a travel and lifestyle program on NBC that last aired in 2024 with MTV personality Johnny "Bananas" Devenanzio as the host.
Hudson and Belichick's relationship has been the source of controversy after she interrupted the former NFL coach's April interview with CBS Sunday Morning. She did not want her boyfriend to answer the question about how they met, telling reporter Tony Dokoupil sternly, "We’re not talking about this."
Belichick later defended her in a statement, pushing back on the narrative that "Jordon was attempting to control the conversation."
"She was not deflecting any specific question or topic but simply doing her job to ensure the interview stayed on track," he said to CBS News. "Some of the clips make it appear as though we were avoiding the question of how we met, but we have been open about the fact that Jordon and I met on a flight to Palm Beach in 2021."
