Cabinet gives Rs 1,600 cr for sub-scheme of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana

The Indian Union Cabinet has approved the Modernization of Command Area Development and Water Management (M-CADWM) sub-scheme of the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) for 2025-26. The scheme aims to improve water use efficiency among farmers by modernizing irrigation water supply infrastructure, creating robust backend infrastructure for micro-irrigation systems, and leveraging SCADA systems and IoT technologies for real-time water accounting and management.
