Man injured in Emporia after bike vs car crash

EMPORIA (KSNT) - A 35-year-old man is hospitalized following a bike vs. car crash in Emporia on Tuesday.

The Emporia Police Department reports a 35-year-old was riding his bicycle northbound on State Street in the 1100 block while a 2010 Toyota Corolla, driven by a 74-year-old, was traveling westbound on 12th Avenue. The EPD said the 35-year-old failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection at 12th Avenue and collided with the Toyota.

The EPD reported the 35-year-old was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
