Victim in Saturday deadly crash identified as Silver Lake student

SILVER LAKE (KSNT) - The victim in a Saturday, March 15, deadly crash near Silver Lake has been identified as Christopher A. Frye, 19, of Silver Lake. According to a Facebook post from the Silver Lake School District, Frye was a senior at Silver Lake High School.

The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies were called about a rollover crash around 1 p.m. on March 15 near Northwest Hoch Road and Northwest 35th Street in the Silver Lake area. Deputies arriving in the area found a Ford F-150 that was traveling east on Northwest 35th Street when it left the road and flipped into a ditch.

The sheriff’s office reports only one person was inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. The driver was ejected from the Ford F-150 and was declared dead at the scene.
