'I have the lord within my heart': Bryce Mitchell responds to Jean Silva, 'F*ck Bryce Mitchell' fan chant | UFC 314

LAS VEGAS – Jean Silva was all over Bryce Mitchell during the UFC 314 press conference.

Silva (17-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) meets Mitchell (17-12 MMA, 8-2 UFC) in a featherweight clash April 12 at Kaseya Center in Miami (ESPN+ pay-per-view, ESPN/Disney+, ESPN+).

Silva ignited “F*ck Bryce Mitchell” chants from the crowd during Friday’s UFC 314 pre-fight press conference before going on a barking frenzy.

“You’re barking up the wrong tree, motherf*cker,” Mitchell responded.

Silva brought a globe to the press conference, poking fun at Mitchell’s flat earth theory.

“Bro, you’re going to start seeing the world as round, you are going to start seeing that soon,” Silva said through an interpreter. “Bryce Mitchell, calm down bro. You’re only here because of me. I have some advice for you: Don’t pick up the mic. It’s getting ugly. Don’t do that. Nobody wants to hear from you. No one wants to listen to you. Get used to seeing the world as round. You know what’s crazy? Not even you believe in yourself.”

A stoic Mitchell, who was showered with boos, responded.

“I can do all things with Christ who strengthens me,” Mitchell said. “I don’t believe in myself, I believe in the power of Christ that lives within my heart. You have ‘Lord’ (tattooed) on your chest. I have the lord within my heart. We’ll see who wins.”
