Pedro Pascal Sends Warning to Fans Before "The Last of Us" Season 2

On Saturday night the latest trailer for The Last of Us Season 2 emerged and offered a terrifying glimpse at what's to come for Joel and Ellie - played by Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey.

The latest trailer debuted at South by Southwest in Austin, as the producers Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin along with its returning stars, Pascal, Ramsey and Gabriel Luna and newcomers Kaitlyn Dever, Isabela Merced and Young Mazino all graced the stage. Inspired by the hit video game, the first season followed Joel and Ellie as they attempt to survive a fungal pandemic that turns humans into zombie-like creatures.

The new world also offered a chance for Pascal to to be starstruck by Catherine O'Hara, who plays his therapist in the second season.

"The thing about Catherine is I've seen her in absolutely everything," Pascal said. "I don't know it was like working with Obama. And on top of that, she is known so well for comedy and I get to do a dramatic scene with her, so it is a bucket list of which I am indebted to Neil and Craig for the rest of my life."

Ahead of the second season, Mazin gave a hint as to what changes fans can expect.

"A lot of what’s going on in the season is evolution and change," Mazin said. "Ellie is growing up, and she is changing. This town of Jackson is growing up. It is expanding. It’s taking in refugees. And the world outside is changing. It was important to us to always move the ball forward with the infected."

The changes for the second season brought out a stern warning from Pascal for fans: "It's [expletive] heartbreaking," he said of the new season.

"[The showrunners] are sick people," he added.

The second season debuts on April 13.
