Luke Humphries takes a tumble and loses shoe as Belgian Darts Open clash with Mike De Decker turns into nightmare
LUKE HUMPHRIES lost his shoe and the match against Mike De Decker in Belgian.
The World No1 took a tumble on his way up the ramp and his shoe flew off in the process to leave fans in laughter.
One said: “Luke Humphries losing his shoe & falling up the stairs onto the stage hahahahaha.
“The Euro Tour just keeps giving in the most spectacular ways.”
Another added: “This never happened with the trusty Slazengers, bring them back!!”
One joked: “If the shoe was on the other foot, Mike de Decker would be laughing too haha.”
Things got worse for Humphries as he was stunned to a 6-4 defeat to Belgium’s De Decker in round two of the tournament.
De Decker said: “To beat the number one of the world in my home country is amazing.
“I’m just glad to get through but today was a big game and I’m really glad that I played well and I won.
“The fans are really supportive for all the Belgian players, so to reach the Sunday is an amazing feeling.”

Michael van Gerwen was also eliminated but world champion Luke Littler progressed by beating Ryan Searle.
Littler, 18, said: “I’m happy to get the first win here, settle in and I’ll come back tomorrow afternoon.
“It’s very good to be back and I’ve got to play better than I did tonight – I’m sure Luke will be up for the task and I’ll be up for it as well.”
