Update: Wind advisory issued for Antelope Valley Foothills and Antelope Valley until 3 a.m. Tuesday

Western Antelope Valley Foothills, Eastern Antelope Valley Foothills and Antelope Valley are included in an updated wind advisory issued by the National Weather Service on Monday at 8:34 p.m. The advisory is in effect until Tuesday, Mar. 4 at 3 a.m.

The NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA adds to anticipate, “West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph. Isolated gusts to 60 mph possible across the northwest portion of the Antelope Valley.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the NWS said. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
