Conan O’Brien killed it with his opening monologue and performance at the 2025 Academy Awards on Sunday (March 2) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
He made so many jokes during the opening, plus did an entire song and dance number with the Dune worm and a dancing Deadpool.

One joke Conan told up top: “‘A Complete Unknown.’ ‘A Real Pain.’ ‘Nosferatu.’ These are just some of the names I was called on the red carpet.”
Another joke Conan said was: “If your speech goes too long instead of playing you off with music we’ll have something much more powerful — we’ll cut to John Lithgow in the audience looking not angry but slightly disappointed.”
