San Jose pedestrian dies from injuries after being hit by vehicle
A pedestrian died in San Jose after being struck by a vehicle early Sunday morning — the fourth fatal traffic collision of the year, the police department said.
In a post on X by the San Jose Police Department’s media team, the department said officers located an adult male pedestrian in the roadway with major injuries in the 1700 block of South White Road around 2:15 a.m.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel, police said.
South White Road was closed in both directions from Mt. McKinley Drive to Rocky Mountain Drive following the collision.
