Stock market today: Wall Street climbs and heads for its first gain in 5 days

Super Micro Computer soared after filing delayed financial reports, while Nvidia climbed ahead of its profit update coming after trading ends for the day. General Motors revved higher after saying it would send more cash to investors. Treasury yields held steadier.
