Kaavia James Goes Full ‘Shady Baby’ With an Iconic Side Eye as She Sells Girl Scout Cookies

Kaavia James is returning to her roots! The youngest daughter of Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade is affectionately known as “Shady Baby” because — even as a very little kid — she served an iconic level of side eye, eye rolls, stank faces, and overall “over it” vibes. And the latest post on her Instagram page (managed by her parents), shows that the 6-year-old still has some Shady Baby in her. We would start calling her Shady Big Kid … but that just doesn’t have the same ring to it.

Kaavia and one of her fellow Girl Scouts set up a station to sell Girl Scout Cookies (yes, it’s that time!), and things started out so *ahem* sweet. The opening photo in the Instagram carousel is of the little girls smiling at their pristine station.

There are then adorable videos of Union and Wade shopping for sweets. It’s all going swimmingly until the parents find out the new prices of the cookies. “Inflation,” Kaavia explains while writing down their orders. Plus tax!

“We came, we saw, and added tax ????,” Kaavia captioned her post. And by tax, they might have meant tip!

Best of all is the candid shot of Kaavia giving her friend some next-level side eye. One of her parents zoomed in on the priceless expression and wrote “should we add tax” above their daughter’s less-than-enthused face.

And we just love to see that Shady Baby energy! The little girl has not lost her hilarious level of disgust for … everything.

“I miss Toddler Kaav! ❤️shes still the queen of side eye,” one follower wrote. Another added, “Kaavia with the bombastic side eye ????????????”

Late last year, Kaavia showed off her epic eye rolls when she was desperately trying to sing “The Twelve Days of Christmas” with some loved ones. “You need to play the song,” she told the adults who were listing off the lyrics. She kept throwing her head back, sighing, and rolling her eyes, just wanting to get the music going instead of trying to work out the lyrics ahead of time.

“You could learn the words with the song when it’s playing,” she said.

Followers were once again tickled to see Shady Baby in action:

Because you could just play the song and learn the famously repetitive lyrics on the fly. Just like you could just deal with the inflation and tax and buy some Thin Mints anyway.
