Oscar nominees gather for a chummy night of cocktails, dinner and the annual class picture
Five days before the Academy Awards, nearly every nominee gathered for a cocktail reception, dinner and class picture that served as a sort of Oscars orientation. At the Tuesday night gathering at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, best actress competitors Mikey Madison and Demi Moore hugged and chatted. So did best actor front-runners Timothee Chalamet and Adrien Brody. The dozens of nominees gathered in a museum theater for the annual tradition of the class picture. Best actress nominee Cynthia Erivo shouted “everyone say Oscar nominee!” as the photo was shot. The event was a stand-in for the annual Oscars luncheon that was canceled because of Southern California's wildfires.
