Local Make-A-Wish kid crowned honorary queen for Krewe of Rio Parade

SCOTT, La. (KLFY) -- For years, Make-A-Wish Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana has partnered with
Lafayette’s Krewe of Rio to provide an unforgettable experience for Acadiana Make-A-Wish
kids. Each year the Krewe crowns a local wish kid as honorary king or queen of the parade.
This year's honorary queen was seven-year-old Ana, a bright girl bravely battling cystic fibrosis.
When thinking of her wish, Ana said she wanted to go to the Aulani Resort, in Hawaii, so she could float in a lazy river, swim with dolphins, go to a luau and meet some of her favorite Disney characters - Lilo and Stitch.
Ana said she had a blast at the parade and enjoyed the VIP treatment.
