Potential evidence left inside woman's stolen car

NORMAN, Okla. (KFOR) — A woman's stolen Kia, which was recovered after a police chase, was left with what appears to be potential evidence inside.

"I have never had anything like this, that's for sure," said Lindsey Davies.

Davies has her 2018 Kia Soul back after it was hot-wired and stolen from her Norman driveway on Tuesday, February 18.

Then, on Friday morning during breaking news, Oklahoma City Police chased two suspects in the stolen car.

The suspects crashed at a Norman apartment, not too far from Davies' home.

Kadarius Alexander and Roy Diehl ran off but were quickly arrested and booked on complaints related to the stolen car, chase, and crash.

Her car was found, but recovering it was expensive.

"I have been told there's a chance I'll be paying to get it removed from impound," said Davies.

Davies said she paid $373 to get her car back, but unfortunately, it is not drivable.

However, it's what she found inside of her Kia that left Davies dumbstruck.

"There was a whole new amount of stuff in there," said Davies.

Inside the car, there were items of potential evidence.

"A lot of this stuff is hard to miss," said Davies.

Several credit cards, a Mexican passport, and driver's licenses ranging from Kansas to Texas.

"My main question was, 'How do I get these back to people?'" said Davies.

There were also checkbooks, pay stubs, bank statements, and a Board of Cosmetology Certificate.

"This wasn't digging under my seats or moving stuff," said Davies. "You could see it just looking in. There was just a lot of stuff in there."

After News 4 made a call to the Oklahoma City Police Department, they said they are working on sending an officer to Davies' location to pick up the potential evidence.
