Five-star senior Nate Ament is close to making a final decision for the program he will be playing for next season.

Ament announced Tuesday on the Swish Cultures podcast that his options are down to Duke, Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, and Louisville.

On Arkansas: “They started a bit later than other schools but they’ve been putting me through the fire they’ve been coming to a lot of my practices a lot of my games. Even with some of the recruits that have been texting me. Obviously, coach Cal has produced a lot of NBA-level talent, and beginning as a basketball player seeing him at Kentucky it’s kind of a dream for a lot of players to see all of these NBA players playing on one team.

On Duke: “They’ve been recruiting me the longest out of the five. It’s great to see that, one they’re winning with freshmen players, and they’re one of the top teams in the nation not just offensively but defensively and they’re able to do it with a lot of firepower.”

On Louisville: “They’ve also been very consistent, I love coach Kelsey’s enthusiasm and coach Carr. They have a great relationship not just with me but with my whole family and obviously going back to fanstake their fans are in with them as well. So seeing a program trying to revive the program they had before and trying to do it with me and Mikel it’s good to see.”

On Kentucky: “I actually just came back from a visit from there but again coach Pope is a high character coach not just with Xs and Os but as a person he is a high character guy that is something you like to see as a player but also his offense is one of the best in the nation he gets up and down the floor shoots the three really well so seeing that as a versatile player who does all of those things it’s very tempting for sure.”

On Tennessee: “Been down there twice now, Rick Barnes he coached KD he is another high character guy and all of these coaches are but being able to see them and see how he was able to push KD to be the player he is today, put him in situations where he had to be that player it is very enticing to see and maybe potentially come in and do that next year.”
