The Nation's Weather
The Nation's Weather for Monday, February 24, 2025
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Heavy thunderstorms will drench Florida tomorrow. There is
moderate drought across the state so most of the rainfall
will be beneficial, although any heavier downpour could lead
to ponding in low-lying areas. Meanwhile, a storm moving
through the Pacific Northwest will bring rain and some
mountain snow. Rain can bring flooding especially in the
heaviest downpours. Along the coast, strong winds can lead
to power outages and tree damage. Elsewhere, showers will
streak from North Dakota to New York with perhaps a few
snowflakes mixed on the northern edge. The rest of the
nation will be largely dry and east of the Rockies it will
be feeling more like spring. High temperatures will be 10-20
degrees above average for most places, though some lower
temperatures can linger across the Southeast.
