Steve Bannon is accused of doing a straight-arm Nazi salute at CPAC but says it was just 'a wave'

Steve Bannon has been accused of making a Nazi salute at a conservative gathering where President Donald Trump is slated to speak this weekend, but says the gesture was merely “a wave.” Bannon was onstage at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Maryland on Thursday when he implored the crowd to “Fight! Fight! Fight!” and extended his right arm in the air with his palm flat. The antisemitism watchdog Anti-Defamation League says Bannon has a "history of stoking antisemitism.” French far-right National Rally president Jordan Bardella canceled his scheduled speech at CPAC over what he describes as “a gesture referring to Nazi ideology.” Bannon served as Trump’s chief strategist and helped lead his 2016 Republican campaign.
