Emily Blunt, Leonardo DiCaprio & Dwayne Johnson to Join Forces in New Martin Scorsese Drama
Emily Blunt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Dwayne Johnson are joining forces with acclaimed director Martin Scorsese for a new movie, and it’s shaping up to be a big one!
The trio of actors are set to star in a drama set in Hawaii. It’s been described as a blend of Martin‘s iconic movies Goodfellas and The Departed.

Deadline exclusively broke the news about the project, noting that the team had brought on Nick Bilton for the script and that studios are actively interested in landing the movie.
Some details about the plot have been revealed. The story is about “a ruthless Hawaiian crime boss, based on a real figure, who battled encroaching rivals for control of organized crime in Hawaii.” He then “[wages] a brutal war against mainland corporations and rival syndicates while fighting to preserve his ancestral land.”
The movie, which does not have a working title yet, is set in the ’60s and ’70s, which was described as a “turbulent time on the island paradise.”
According to reporting, Emily and Dwayne are the ones who pitched the movie to Leonardo and Martin. The pair have previously worked together on Disney’s Jungle Cruise and have another movie called Smashing Machine due out in 2025.
Leonardo has famously collaborated with Martin multiple times over the years, most recently working on Killers of the Flower Moon.
The three stars are also working as a part of the production team.
