OPELOUSAS, La. (KLFY) -- The heroic efforts of an Opelousas firefighter saved the life of a dog trapped in a burning home.
Last night, while the Opelousas Fire Department responded to a house fire, Fireman Blaze Barras found a lifeless dog named Ace inside the home.
Officials said, Barras then brought Ace outside, and began performing chest compressions and providing him oxygen from his personal air pack in an attempt to save the dog's life.
Thanks to Barras's quick actions, officials said, Ace was successfully revived and was safely returned to his owner.
