UK holiday park reveals plans for new multi-million pound treehouses with bedrooms and private pools
A MUCH-LOVED holiday park has revealed plans for new treehouses that guests can stay in overnight.
Whitehouse Leisure Park in Towyn has submitted plans to build new accommodation on their site which they say will be “high-spec and luxurious”.
The seafront holiday park of WhiteHouse in North Wales is open all year round and they are hoping to add treehouses to the accommodation list, which currently consists of hundreds of static caravans.
The multi-million pound plans, if approved, will feature three treehouses with private swimming pools, fire pits and sauna pods for the ultimate relaxing stay.
One of the holiday park’s directors, Jonathan Seldon, said: “The designs are incredible, and we are hopeful – subject to planning permission – that this will be a high-quality, unique addition to WhiteHouse Leisure Park.
“They are very high-spec and luxurious, amazing sustainable structures suitable for families.
“Along with our ‘Wow Lodge’ – which will soon be launched – they will feature a private swimming pool and attract more holiday guests to the resort, giving them something a little different.”
It’s not the only upgrade for the holiday park as they’ve recently added a climbing wall to their growing list of activities.
There’s also an attraction called ‘The Jump’, where you can leap from a three- or six-metre platform onto a giant airbag.
On site is a high ropes course which you’ll find 14 foot above the ground.
There are 11 elements across the course, including hanging buoys, a tunnel, and swinging logs.
As part of their expansion, there are also plans to update their already standing Jakes family restaurant and pub, an amusement arcade, a cinema room, and soft play.
They would also like to create a spa and gym on their WhiteHouse Leisure Park site.
At the WhiteHouse Leisure Park there’s also a Beach Bar with live entertainment and DJ, and there’s a FunFair Crazy Golf course too.
In terms of facilities, the park has shops, restaurants, cafes, and a laundrette.
WhiteHouse Leisure Park is situated right next to their neighbouring park, the Golden Gate Holiday Centre and together they house over 830 caravans.
Anyone staying at either park can use the attractions on the other.
And Golden Gate Holiday Centre has also been given the green-light for some upgrades.
In early February 2025, it was confirmed that Golden Gate Holiday Centre were granted permission to build a six-lane bowling alley, rooftop bar, extended amusement arcade and new reception.
They also have plans to upgrade the restaurant and pub, an amusement arcade, a cinema room, and the soft play area.
The parks sit in the town of Abergele in North Wales which boasts a shingle beach and promenade.

Work is underway to build a lavish holiday park in the Afan Valley in Wales. The new £250million holiday park, which is known as Wildfox Resorts, was first announced in 2022 and is expected to open in 2027.
Once the new Wildfox adventure holiday resort in the Afan Valley is open, it is expected to feature 570 lodges as well as 130 apartments and rooms.
There will be plenty of outdoor activities on the site too, including wild swimming, mountain biking, hiking, canyoning, and bouldering as well as two state-of-the-art zip wires.
An indoor waterpark, spa and a shopping plaza will also be constructed on the site too.
